Kenya is a country with a large and complex history of settlement, which is difficult to understand from a normal week's safari.  Through many of our favorite wilderness areas, this trip has been arranged to appeal especially to visitors who want to view wildlife but also have a fascination for history.  Travel is by road and air, and high standards of comfort are assured.

This safari to Lewa Downs and the Masai Mara combines one of Africa's greatest conservation projects with one of the world's most spectacular wilderness areas.   The trip is stylish, personal and uses a combination of very different camps in spectacular settings.   Activities range from day and night game drives to excellent guided walks that follow tracks through abundant game areas.   Camel, Horse and balloon safaris are also worth considering here.   The guides are knowledgeable and experienced and if you choose the dry season, you could be in the Mara watching wildebeest thunder right past your tent.
