Johannesburg City tour
Daily 2pm-5pm
This half day tour takes you to the Top of Africa at
the Carlton Centre (entrance fee not included) passing Hillbrow en
route. Then you visit the historical buildings of downtown,
the Stock Exchange and De Beers. Proceed to the arty suburb of
Melville and return via the Emmarentia Gardens and Rosebank.

This tour with a difference takes you through the streets of
Soweto and its adjoining townships. See the bustling neighborhood

A half day tour to Gold Reef City, a replica of
old-time Johannesburg. Travel back in time as you take a ride on a
penny-farthing or stroll through the olden days houses. Tour also
includes an underground visit, gold pour demonstration and a miners'

Lesedi - An African Experience Daily

Evening excursion to Lesedi nestled in the pristine
bushveld where families from the Zulu, Xhosa and Pedi live in their
traditional homesteads. Guests to Lesedi arrive at the colourful "Kwa
Khayal'hle" Ndebele Village. Traditional tribespeople summon
guests into the Ndebele meeting room. Once seated, the visitor is then
exposed to a multi-lingual orientation depicting the history of South
Africa and the background to Lesedi. Dinner is included.

Visit Soweto's informal settlements, affluent suburbs, Mandela
House, Hector Peterson Memorial, celebrity houses, a "shebeen" (tavern)
for refreshments (own expense). Then embark on a discovery of the
racial segregation experienced by millions of South Africans a mere
decade ago. Soweto up-rising, ANC in exile, apartheid, solitary
