SOUTHERN AFRICAN RAIL SAFARI ON THE BLUE TRAIN

PRETORIA TO VICTORIA FALLS


THU DAY 01 PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA

Arrive Pretoria Station in time for 0850 departure on the Blue Train for 3 day/2 night journey to Victoria Falls.

Upon arrival at the Pretoria Station, you will be escorted to Blue Train's private reception area where you exchange your voucher for your boarding pass. Enjoy light refreshments before boarding the world famous "Blue Train" for your journey to Victoria Falls including all meals and drinks.

From the moment you step aboard the train, you will discover the features that have made it famous. Enjoy air-conditioned compartments, a luxurious dining car and the plush comfort of the public rooms, combined with the enchanting and ever-changing scenery of Southern Africa.

OVERNIGHTS: BLUE TRAIN        Deluxe and Luxury Suites
The Blue Train tradition originated with the "Train de Luxe", which set the precedent for unrivaled passenger comfort and excellent service as long ago as 1901. Five-star comfort throughout the journey from Pretoria to Vic Falls. The train is fully air-conditioned and the lounge/bar areas offer a place to relax or to mix with other international travelers on the same journey. The meals are superb - five star cuisine all the way! Enjoy the quiet atmosphere, efficient service and gourmet meals while the South African landscape glides gently past your window.

Your suite comes with private bathroom and the services of your butler. You will be served three delicious meals, all freshly prepared on board the train. Dinner is a fairly formal affair and men are requested to wear a jacket and tie.

FRI DAY 02 BLUE TRAIN

Grassy plains dotted with precariously balancing granite castle outcrops roll into dense bush as the Blue Train journeys deeper into the heart of Africa. Stopping in Bulawayo for a few hours, guests spend time exploring this old colonial town on the banks of the Matsheumlope River, one of the mighty Zambezi's tributaries. With the mysterious hills of Matopos - where Cecil Rhodes lies buried - as a backdrop, the Blue Train continues towards the thundering Victoria Falls. On the return trip from Vic Falls, the Blue Train stops at Hwange Game Reserve for spectacular game viewing in on of Africa's most abundant wildlife regions.

SAT DAY 03 VICTORIA FALLS

0900 AM arrive at Victoria Falls Station.
